I was send a fraudulent Job posting as attached, saying that they'd gotten my resume from the ESLemployment.com website. I received requests for documentation and within 4-5 days was offered a Skype interview. Many things bother me about the ad. Firstly, the pay was high for this type of position in Italy. Also, none of the e-mail correspondance I recieved was personalized ...looked automated. So, when I received an e-mail this morning offering me a Skype interview ...in the same automated style, I decided to phone the school in Italy. I googled the number ...which differs from the number noted on the scam e-mails I was getting. The person who answered confirmed that I had reached the Benedict School Mirandola but explained that they had not recently been seeking a teacher and had not placed any ads for teachers. She also said that they wre aware of an ad being placed but that they had no idea who had done it. So, clearly I will not be responding to the interview request from the scammer.

I want to stress that the School does exist and as far as I know they are reputable. The school also apologized for my inconvenience.... even though they had nothing to do with the false posting.

Why do they do that? What is their gain. I bumped to the same job offer and all things seem quite tacky. How can they be harmful?
