  • Experienced ESL Teacher with MSed in TESOL & 14 years exp. seeks position in Spanish-speaking country

    By: Nicole Miceli < Show E-mail >

    Date: Thu, 16 Aug 2018

    Location: (South America)

I am currently seeking a position in a Spanish-speaking country in Central or South America, or in Spain.

Throughout my entire 14-year career as an ESL Teacher, I have devoted myself to helping immigrants, refugees and international students achieve their highest goals and meet their academic and personal needs. My excellence in managing student relationships, engagement, atmosphere and cultural awareness and sensitivity allows me to offer exemplary student support and guidance and will make me a valuable asset to your company. My eagerness to work abroad, coupled with my desire to become fluent in Spanish, prompts me to apply.

I am known to have an exceptionally strong rapport with the students I serve. My extremely strong interpersonal communication and listening skills allow me to establish trust quickly with students, and students, in turn, feel safe to learn and make mistakes in my classroom. I have worked with students from all over the world and of all immigration and socio-economic statuses, and am particularly sensitive to navigatingthe intersectionality of people’s identities and holding space for those complexities with love and compassion. It is with determination, persistence and empathy that I troubleshoot the academic challenges my students face and offer them the highest level of education. This also allows me to negotiate complex situations with students and provide strong guidance.

In closing, I am an energetic, empathetic and passionate individual, who thrives in environments that work to serve others, and I know I will thrive as a member of your staff. I would love the opportunity to meet with you to discuss how I could benefit the students your company serves.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
