Teach English in Ecuador under Ministry of Education-Backed Program
Prepaid Air-ticket, Living Allowance, 5 or 10 Month Contract
Teach English in public elementary and high schools throughout Ecuadorï¿½s dramatic Coast region!
Come and be part of an exciting initiative developed by The Ministry of Education of Ecuador to improve English learning amongst children and adolescents.
There are two teaching options available:
ï¿½ Long-term position (10 months): September & October
ï¿½ Short-term position (5 months ): September & October
It is preferred that volunteers commit to 2 semesters.
10 months (September & October)
5 months (September & October)
Throughout the Coast region of Ecuador
Fluent English speakers (at least C1 level)
Bachelor's? degree in any discipline
21-55 years old
Clean criminal record
TEFL/TESOL certification preferred
Holding a passport with at least 1 year validity
Have cultural sensitivity
Teach English in Ecuador public schools.
Classroom teaching approx. 30 hours (45 minutes per class), plus 10 hours of lesson planning and additional activities at the school.
Volunteers can teach either morning or afternoon shift.
Attend events and training related to program at request of the Ministry of Education.
Teach up to 40 students per class (student age varies from 5ï¿½18 years old).

Salary & Benefits
ï¿½ Long-term position: Prepaid round-trip air-ticket to Ecuador
ï¿½ Short-term position: One-way air-ticket from Ecuador to corresponding country provided on contract completion. (The flight to Ecuador will be covered by the volunteer.)
US$ 366 monthly stipend (minus 8% tax deduction)
