English Composition and Speech Instructor - Marshall Islands

The Liberal Arts Department of the College of the Marshall Islands invites applications for a full-time English Composition/Speech Instructor to teach first and second semester composition, argument, research writing, and public speaking courses beginning Fall 2016.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaching a minimum of 12 credits per semester
Advising students
Scoring student placement tests
Participation in ongoing course assessment and alignment in support of the Liberal Arts Program
Serving the CMI and RMI community
Serving on committees within the goverance structure of the college
Providing services in support of the ongoing advancement of the Liberal Arts program
Required Qualifications:
A Master's Degree with concentration in writing and rhetoric, composition, linguistics, or appropriate Master of Fine Arts(writing)
Preferred: Preference will be given to candidates with:
teaching experience that incorporates best practices in the classroom
international teaching experience
