Position Information

West Ryde Public School (enrolment 465 students, including 79% students from a non-English speaking background) is a warm, friendly school committed to ensuring students achieve in their academic and cultural endeavours. Highly professional and cohesive staff are positively supported by an active and involved community. A community language program in Mandarin, Korean and Hindi is conducted in the school from Stages 1 to 3. Stage 3 students learn using Project Based Learning and participate in the BYOD program. Student wellbeing is supported through the provision of a large number of academic and extracurricular activities including orchestra, choirs, dance groups, chess club, coding club, art club and Primary School Sports Association (PSSA) sport participation.

Approval to teach K-6
Approval to teach primary English as a second language. Capacity to deliver effective, engaging and relevant teaching programs, including programs for a differentiated curriculum. Highly developed and effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with students, staff and community.Demonstrated capacity to support a whole school gifted and talented program. Demonstrated ability in supporting the school orchestra and music programs.
