The South Australian Institute of Business and Technology (SAIBT) is a progressive higher education provider which provides pathway programs into the second year of a University of South Australia degree and is part of the Navitas group of companies. In addition to the pathway programs, SAIBT offers English language programs via CELUSA (Centre for English Language at the University of South Australia) and is the IELTS testing centre for South Australia. SAIBT courses cater for a wide range of international and domestic students.
SAIBT is currently seeking to employ ELICOS teachers to contribute to the goals of the college in preparing international students for academic success in a supportive and respectful atmosphere.

Selection Criteria - Essential
Minimum qualifications (Bachelor’s Degree and TESOL qualification) and teaching experience as required by the ELICOS National Standards
Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate teaching and assessment in accordance with current language learning theories and methodologies
Capacity to implement strategies to cater sensitively for diversity, including acknowledgement of different learning styles and approaches to study encompassing the needs and backgrounds of a diverse range of international students
Demonstrated excellent communication, interpersonal and team skills and customer service obligations relevant to maintaining professional relationships with staff and students in a changing education environment
Demonstrated personal commitment to professional development and maintaining currency of skills including a willingness to undertake further formal education
Educational and information technology skills relevant for teaching and administrative outcomes
Selection Criteria - Desirable
Experience in teaching ESL to international students across a range of levels
Up to date ELICOS knowledge and teaching methodologies and materials development
Applicants are required to have valid Australian work rights. Successful applicants will be subject to relevant pre-employment checks, which may include a National Police Check and/or a Working with Children Check.
